35 Motivational Quotes from Les Brown

Les Brown, I love you.

There, I said it.

I had the honor of being a co-author on a collaborative book with Les Brown, back in 2011. I find him, his message, and his story, to be among the most inspirational I have heard or known.

Truth be told, I spend a lot of time listening to messages from people like Les Brown, Brian Tracy, Jack Canfield (another one of my co-authors), and the late Jim Rohn (probably my all-time favorite).  Yes, some of their messages start to sound the same–there is definitely a theme.  But that’s a good thing, not a bad thing. The subconscious mind LOVES repetition (it’s like a young child, asking for the same book to be read again, over and over and over and…).

One of the ways the subconscious mind elevates information from “just info” to “that’s important”  and finally to “belief” is sheer repetition.  I like to fall asleep watching and listening to messages like the ones in the video below.

The mind has rules. We commonly call these “the rules of the mind” at the Midwest Hypnotherapy Academy. Nothing fancy.  And they are definitely rules.  The kind that are operational whether or not you know about them, and whether or not you believe in them.

One of the rules of the mind is, “you move in the direction of your dominant thought.” One of the ways of making positive, motivational thoughts dominant is to spend a lot of time with them.  Listen to these great thinkers and speakers on your iPod while you work out.  Spend your break time at work with them. Listen to them while you’re falling asleep at night.  Read their words, and let those words change you for the better.

Simple? Yes.  And effective.  Often, the simplest solutions are the best solutions.

So, enjoy the video below from Les Brown.  And then down below the video, I’ve compiled 35 of my favorite Les Brown quotes.  Write some on your bathroom mirror, for a motivational way to start your day!
